The girls from 5th & 6th classes took part in the Mark Fitzmaurice soccer tournaments in Creggs recently. The girls played Tarmon NS in their first match and won by 3 goals to 2. Next up were Glenamaddy which the girls again beat 4-2. In the following two matches Fuerty beat Lisnaiskey and Kilcroan to qualify for the final. In the final against Ballinatleva the girls were level 1-1 at full time. In extra time Nora Brennan scored the winner to see Fuerty crowned champions on the day.
