Drugs awareness and substance misuse talk
The parish of Fuerty hosted a talk on Drugs and substance misuse for parents of Fuerty and Athleague school pupils. The very informative and professional talk was given by Mary Hough, the Walk Tall Assistant National Support Officer for the North West. The talk was held in St. Ciaran's hall on Monday 23th June. Parents heard about the Walk Tall programme which is delivered to all pupils in our schools as part of SPHE (Social, Personal and Health Education). Parents learned about areas of substance misuse that have become relevant at primary school level. Parents who missed the night can find more information at www.walktall.ie
